  When I was a Freshmen at UNT I got in touch with Hope because I was looking for a church. That week one of the church staff came to campus to get lunch with me in my dorm and hear my story. That first act was just the beginning, and a good example of how helpful and gracious this church has been to me. I can confidently say that the majority of my formation in Christ has happened through the community of Hope Fellowship Church. I have been discipled personally for all 7 years that I've been here. I have been challenged and equipped, even to lead others to Christ and help them get plugged into Christian community. Hope Fellowship Church gets my highest recommendation for anyone in the Denton area looking for a church, or even anyone who's not a Christian, but would like to talk about spiritual things with some honest, humble, knowledgeable believers.
  
  If you visit a Hope service, chances are, though you'll be encouraged by the worship and teaching, you will not be blown away by the service itself. It's not a highly polished production, but simply a gathering of local believers to worship together and sit under the Word. But there is more to this church. What Hope offers is spiritual community of the caliber rarely seen in an American church. A true emphasis on one-to-one discipleship, church life being lived out in small group community, and gospel-centered evangelism to the lost.
  
  If you're looking for a service to blend in to so that you can check off "religion" on the weekly to do list, then Hope is not for you. But if you want deep Christian community that will transform you into the image of Christ and equip you to reach the lost anywhere in the world, then Hope is for you!

  Please be aware that this church is part of Great Commission Ministries (though they have changed the name of the organization - its the same thing). GCM is a very controversial organization. I recommend that you do some research before choosing to join this church. There is even a whole website attempting to warn others about GCM. Also, you should know that all of the 5 star reviews here are by staff members and leaders in the church

  When I was first looking for a church my freshman year I looked everywhere. I knew what I wanted, a church family. After my first visit at one of Hope's small groups, called a homegroup, I knew this was the church for me. I love this church and they are my family. Come get involved too!

  I got involved with Hope for the first time during my sophomore year at UNT (Spring 2009). I was amazed at the closeness and community, and began calling Hope Fellowship my home church shortly thereafter.
  
  Throughout the past several years I have been personally mentored/discipled in my faith and challenged to pursue Jesus in every area of my life. I am eternally grateful for all of the love, time, and energy that everyone poured into my life. As a matter of fact, much of my spiritual growth has been due to the love and encouragement of Hope Fellowship Church.
  
  If you are looking for a strong community of believers who will help you grow in your relationship with Jesus, look no further!

  I found Hope Fellowship Church my second semester at UNT, and I'm very thankful I did! It was mind blowing at the ripe old age of 19 to see people passionately pursuing an intimate relationship with Christ, simultaneously being crazy honest about their personal struggles. Needless to say, I fell in love with the community here and have stuck around for going on four years now. If you're looking to grow in your walk with the Lord and experience some awesome community, why look any further?
